from what i know Justin Created Blue October from the ground up after leaving his high school band...

That's what I've always thought too. I think this person was trying to look like he knew something that he knew NOTHING about. When I told him I'm one of the knowers of all things Justin and Blue and would have to research for any facts to back up his claims he did back pedal a little, hehe. Thanks folks for your replies. You definitely confirmed what I believed to be the case...

I've never ever heard anything like that... Idk who told you that. haha. 

Justin, Jeremy, and Ryan started the group.  Other people have come and gone through out the years, but Justin has always been the lead vocals for this band. 

Perhaps they were speaking out Last Wish, Justin's high school band? I don't know much about them, but maybe there was an Eric in that band..

Don't know who Eric Jones is.  But he has never been part of Blue October or Last Wish, Justin's first band, either as a singer or as a musician in any part.

This is the dumbest rumor I have ever heard.  No, there is no truth to this at all.  Whoever told you this does not know what they're talking about or they were playing a joke on you.

However, the UK band Blue October has had different singers over the years.  For their first album Barney Miller was the singer, but he died in 1998.  Their singer for the subsequent albums has been Ross Carter.  In 2010 Carter left the band and was replaced by Chris Beecham.

I have never heard of Eric Jones.

My guess is they were playing a joke on you, because they think they're a better fan than you.  I've noticed people who think they have something to prove, try to miseducate (is that even a word? lol) others...used to happen to me with a "friend" who told me a LOT of not true things about Green Day, back in the day..and then I'd tell other people and he'd be like LMFAO YOU ARE SO STUPID!

I'm glad that you didn't buy it, and came to this forum for help. :)
