Lish I had no idea. I am so sorry. I can't make you feel better, but I can understand the loss a little bit. I've been with my husband 18 years, and it breaks my heart to think about losing him. I happen to love a complete narcisist.  I dont want to leave him, but he doesnt seem to get that i am hurting, that i am depressed or suicidal, even when i tell him i want to hurt myself it just doesnt get to him. He has a lot of medical issues and i do take care of him because i like to, i love to. I just wish things were more even between us. i feel like i dont matter a lot of the time, like i am just not on his mind at all....

I'm not sure of all of the facts in your situation, so I can't give you any advice about what to do....

But I can tell you that it is a common problem for the people closest to us to try to ignore the situation, try to act like it doesn't exist...I think for the most part, it scares them that something they can't "see" or understand might be able to take us from them...they're not sure what to do, so they just ignore the situation entirely...that's my best guess, anyway.

I know many of us struggle with this issue...

Love is always difficult, but espeicaly for those of us who have trust issues and abandonment issues, Its down right scary. but its worth it to try ... but its not easy ... hell nothing in life is.

well Matt it took me many years to actually find real love that wasnt based on lies and manipulation, but the wait was worth it even if I dont always feel like he is there for me.  I bitch a lot but Erin does care about me and thats more than i ever hoped for.  Love is difficult for everyone, adding illness's to it makes it more complicated but it can be done. For me its my low self esteem that gets me in trouble. why would anyone really care about me?
