Welcome Blue October Fans!! I didn't see our geo location listed in the groups, so I decided to create one. Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and the rest of the Midwest states...but ALL are WELCOME!

It really is going to be a Blue October I'm not going to be able to make it to KC. :0(

I saved the money for River Riot for 2 months, then drove over some railroad tracks and got some rebar jammed in a tire and goodbye River Riot money....I saved the money for KC and started planning 4 months ahead, but it's a no go too....so.....I'm guessing they'll be back my way about April...so maybe six months of stashing money aside (of course being used up and replaced a couple of times in between by unexpected emergencies...lol) will get me back to a Blue October concert. I sure hope so!

All my love to KC! Wish I could be there to jam with ya!

OMG! Anna!! Im so sorry you missed it!!! =( It was my first Blue concert and it was what I expected and MORE! I got to meet Justin after the show.(good thing i heard the dude talking about where the tour bus was!) He stepped off the bus and headed straight towards me and reached out to hug me first!! *EEP* I had sign I just made out of cardboard real quick that said "Im ALIVE because of you!!" He saw it during Hate Me and smiled at me. I thought "Ok. He saw my Thank You." and thought that would be the end of it. He came over to our side of the stage and stood on the edge for pretty much the whole last chorus and end of the song!(which he kept going.=) He looked right at me! Fist bumped his heart. And at the end of the song AIR KISSED ME!!! OH!MY!GAWD! My night was made!! Then I went and waited just to get a few autographs real quick. HE wanted MY sign and wanted MY autograph! He said he was gonna hang in his studio to remind him of why he does what he does. Im tearing up again just thinking about it. His 'handler' I guess(?) was trying to keep him moving along. He asked "hey want a picture?" HELL YEAH!! He has arm around me with head leaning on mine. I told him "My kids still have a mom because of you." Before he walked away he hugged me again and said "Its not about you. Its not about us. Its about our kids now." Some guy told him "Most big time rock stars dont do this sort of thing. Thank You man!" Just shook his hand and said "Thats cause were not big time rock starts." AMEN BROTHA!! amen! I got autographs and pictures with everyone else too. Except for Ryan. He wasnt doing pictures.
I really hope none of this comes off as bragging! Its *not* meant to be!! I just needed to tell someone just how awesome they really are! And who better than other fans?! =)

That sounds A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! (ahhh! my break is over...I will get back to you later) I'm soooooo glad you had such a good time and they really do 'keep it real'...so awesome!

It's totally NOT bragging, it's sharing and THANK YOU! (the few minutes I was able to get on the site the last few days, I was searching for any shred of news about KC and came up empty...I'm such a flippin dork sometimes - I didn't even think to check the group that I created to see if any of you were able to go...LOL) Sorry it took me so long to comment back, but if you're anything like me, I'm sure you're still floating around on cloud 14 from the experience and still just as excited as when you first posted...

I'm so happy for you and I'm so glad that you got to see a side of them that most don't really get to see. They really do care about their fans and they really don't think of themselves as 'rockstars'...they think that they're just 'regular 'guys who can jam together and make people feel better with their music. They seem to get just as much inspiration from us as we get from them. And they have, over the years, built some very close friendships with some of their fans.

I had a great FIRST Blue October concert, too, but it doesn't hold a candle to yours. For just one day, everything seemed to go right and fell perfectly in place. (I'll have to tell you more about that later....family is waiting on me.)

The kansas City show was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Granted it was only my second show and I could still just stand in the back crying most of the time, but it was by far the most healing expirence of my life! It is like some how he manages to have a private conversation with everyone in the house at the same time. He did alot of talking on stage and seems like a really upstanding guy. The sound there was perfect as well. Sorry you missed the show but i am sure they did not disappiont ANYWHERE!
