So i just received a $5000 grant to travel to NYC and DC this summer (7 days) and photo and video for my students back at home. my parents bought me a cannon rebel x(whatever) for christmas and i have been bad and havent read the manual. I am a bit lost with it.

I have never sat down and read my manual. I look up something occasionally when I need it but I learn better by futzing around so that's what I do. I did have to read my Holga manual because I was afraid of breaking something while messing with it, however.
